This picture was taken at the Moms to Moms of Maine Halloween Party last Sunday-thanks toImago-Photo for donating their time and talents to every one at the party - guess what pictures I am using for my Halloween pages at the next Stampin Memories Club night? If you'd like to join us, it will be on Tuesday, November 11th at 7pm. Cost to attend is $10 or a $30 purchase!
Today I am off to my daughter's school to make Frankenstein cards and peppermint pattie spiders, I am sure to have pictures for you tomorrow. A quick update on the 50 post from yesterday....
The winner is JEANETTE, although she was slightly off. Her guess of 50 pages in the last month was closest. I have scrapped 50 pages in the last YEAR! I want to meet the person who can do 50 in a month. Wait, no I don't. Really, I don't want to meet someone who can spend that much time scrappin'. Can't be responsible for my actions, lol.
Lisa's answer was so kind, and honestly I only weigh myself once a month, so tomorrow is that day. IF I hit that number tomorrow she'll get a package of the Hostess Only Designer Series Paper, Prints Pack!
No, not my age (shame, shame!), not my address, nor is it the number of Diet Coke's I drank this week ( at least I don't think so!)....50 has a special connotation to me, and if you can guess what it is, I have a gift for you! I have in my hot little hands a Hostess Only Stamp Set - Organic Grace - for the reader who posts the comment that indicates what is so exciting to me about the number 50!
Meanwhile, I have a picture of a project I did at my Dayton Club last month. These ladies I have told them this so it should not be a suprise, have done wonders for my stamping and creativity since I met them. This is a gift card holder, made from a 4 1/2 by 11 piece of cardstock scored, adhered and punched with the 1" circle punch and word window punch. I am going to offer it as a part of the Season of Giving, a special additional project to anyone who comes.
This is my buddy, Jack, with his Frankenstein box he and his mom, Lisa, made for his pals at school! Jack came to my Spook 'Em Good stamp camp earlier this month and took the idea from a card we made there. How cool is that? Actually I have had fun with this Frankenstein (or Francesca with Pirouette Pink hair) a lot this season! Sunday my girls and I attended the Mom to Mom of Maine Halloween party and we made those cards, there, too! The kids and parents loved them. Here is one little Minnie making hers with her grandmother...
...
We had so much fun, my girls and I, thanks Mom to Mom!
While I am on a roll, here is what Lisa made tonight at the Stampin' Good Time club night.
..
This altered clipboard is actually another way to scrap, I'm going to attach a picture of Aislinn and McKenna at the top and then a post-it note pad at the bottom and put it in the kitchen, where I am ALWAYS looking for a piece of paper to write on. I used the Hawaii Papaya DSP, chocolate chip double stitched ribbon, kiwi kiss striped grosgrain ribbon, white grosgrain ribbon, and good ol' modge podge to hold it all down. Now that this one is made, I am going to make some with holiday paper and make it a count down to Christmas kind of thing...
This Saturday I am at the Biddeford Saco Elks Craft Fair, so come on by and say hello! There will be various crafters including yours truly, and I will have retired stamps at a ridiculous half off, some gift items to buy and other fun - check it out!
I so am! I need to see things done and then do them for the best chance of success. Here is a fabulous video featuring Shelli Gardner, the Co-Founder and President of Stampin' Up! She uses the Top Note and pillow box die with the Big Shot, and then the Curly Label Punch to make awesome table setting ideas for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years!!
Tonight is the auction at my daughter's school, tomorrow is the Holiday Stamp a Stack and Myah's Stamping Good Time Birthday Party, then it is off to Mass. for my husband's oldest friend's 50th birthday party. Sunday is the Moms to Moms of Maine Halloween Party, and the kids are all going to make Frankenstein cards. So, we're busy this weekend!!
I have another sample from the Bat Mitzvah invitations I made this week, and then more scrapbooking pages to add on later, woohoo! I have had awful luck with my camera lately and my wonderful husband has been great helping me with it. So I now have a new camera, yea!, and can upload images much more easily!
While this invitation does not involve stamping (agast!) it does feature the Birds and Blooms Sizzlitsdies, and the Big Shot. This die is only available from your Stampin' Up Demonstrator, and yes the link will take you right to my website and online ordering page:) The edging was done with theScallop Edge Punch, and the pearl in the center of the flower (six petals, representing the Star of David) is from our Pretties Kit. While I didn't meet Rebecca yet, her mom indicated we may do the back layer with silver instead of black, won't that be beautiful?
Like I said, stay tuned for more scrapbooking and yes CHRISTMAS samples in the next day or two :)
Happy Wednesday everyone, as I said to a club member today
"It's hump day, downhill slide to the weekend!"
I had a workshop last night at my friend's house, hey, Jess!, and there was talk of Christmas and who is getting what and who wants what, etc.
It got me thinking about my letter I wrote years ago to husbands, and while I cannot find that right now, I do have a wish list that I am going to publish here:
All you do is click, fill out, and email to me, stampwithtara@yahoo.com, with the names and contact information of those who may want to know what you REALLY WANT this holiday season!
So, on that note, here is a cute sample from Stampers Showcase featuring one of my favorite stamp sets -Big On Christmas! If you click on this link, you will go directly to my online ordering page, feel free to get yours anytime, 24-7!
Tomorrow begins A Season of Giving - if you haven't reserved your space, do so soon!
Today I had the pleasure of meeting with Hillary, her daughter is preparing to be a Bat Mitzvah in June. This is a huge event in a young person's life, and deserves an amazing invitation. These are going into the Stamping Good Time Store File, listed on the left. Remember as much as I love teaching others to create hand crafted items, I love making them for others!
So be sure to check out The Stamping Good Time Store for all your card and invitation needs!
This Saturday, from 9:30 until 11:30 am, I am hosting another Holiday Stamp a Stack at the Stampin' Studio in Saco. I have a fabulous customer who was not able to attend my class a couple of weeks ago, so since I have the cards cut, etc, I told her we'd reschedule for her - see why you want me for your Stampin' Up Demonstrator??? Cost is $20, bring your own adhesive, ok?
I have some sample invitations to show a client today, so I'll have pictures to show you tomorrow!!
Yesterday I took my show "on the road" to Bristol, NH for a Christmas Stamp a Stack class with Deb, her daughter and some of their friends. One guest was Maryann, who I met a year ago at a crop in North Conway and hosted her own workshop last February. Time flies!!!
In getting ready for yesterday I reflected on the last year of my scrappin, some of which you can see posted in my scrapbook album. I have done 47 pages in the last year, almost one page per week! So exciting to know that has been 'accomplished'! So many scrapbookers feel like it is a project that never ends, but I look at it a little differently. Life doesn't end - thank you God! - so there are always new memories to capture.
Some guests held off on ordering yesterday because they want to surprise their daughters at the holidays, so cool! Now that you can order on line anytime, it is so easy! Just click here to get started!
