What you're seeing here is a card in a can!  This is one of the projects I am going to have available on Saturday at the Royal Family Kids Camp Crop at the United Baptist Church in Saco...I am offering two mini classes during the crop, one stamping cards, the other scrapbooking (for those who have already asked about 'staying the whole time' the mini classes will be at 2 for the cards, 4 for the 2 page scrapbook spread).  These mini classes are $10 each, and 50% will be donated to the camp.

Raspberry Tart Class!

 

One of my favorite groupings of the new Designer Series Papers is called Raspberry Tart - it coordinates with the Sweet Stem stamp set AND Sweetest Stem Embossilit!  To see just how well all these things go together, check out the Raspberry Tart Card Class.  Each participant will receive a package of this gorgeous paper, and we will use 1/2 of 3 sheets to make 10 cards, or  8 cards and a 12 x 12 scrapbook page!  Guess what - it's only $19! 

This class will be Thursday, February 19th in two sessions - one at 10 am, the other at 7pm!  Since this is school vacation week, kids are welcomed with a paying adult!

Registration is due by February 12th with payment so I can order all the yummy Raspberry Tart Paper we need!

Why it's a good idea to join one of the Stamping Good Time Clubs!

Hello...let's get ready for some more snow!  I love snow days, especially when there aren't too many of them that I am afraid of being in school until July - lol!

Tonight was my Crazy 4 Cards Club/Class with my loyal club member Joan.  She has been with me for I think 3 years now - every month coming to Club night and purchasing a minimum of $30 in Stampin Up merchandise. 

Joan is planning her sister's baby shower and we discussed the invitation she wanted to make.  I surprised her tonight by designing and planning that very invite for one of the projects and she was thrilled.  As we were making the card together and going over the supplies she needs, Joan gave a wonderful testimonial for the value of belonging to a club when you are either getting into stamping or scrap-booking or are wanting to increase your repertoire.  There were many tools we used tonight she already owned!  Now when she is wanting to put the pieces all together, she has them!!! 

 If she had to purchase all the tools, never mind the card stock and embellishments, for the card she's making, it would have cost her over $113!  Instead, she needed to just buy $35 worth of punches and accessories - rather affordable because they are reusable!!!

So, if you've been contemplating joining a club, be it the Stampin Memories, Crazy 4 Cards, or Big Shot, think about what Joan experienced tonight.  Stay tuned tomorrow for the cards we made!

For my friend the Yankees fan!!

 

Today is my friend Michelle's 40th birthday, just a little over a week younger than me!  I had fun posting on Facebook last night that I was making a card for a Yankees fan, she and her family are true friends of the blue pinstripes, ergo the theme for her card!  I'm from Boston, born and bread, so some of my friends and family were a little put off - Joanne Lee even asked if it was legal to do so in Maine!  

 I knew I had to do pinstripes, but how?  Well I trimmed Night of Navy cardstock 1/4 inch thick and used my Grid Paper to line them up evenly.  The navy and white circles around the scalloped circle is using the newCircle Scissors Plus - I LOVE THIS TOOL! 

We'll be using it tonight at Crazy 4 Cards, so join us if you can.  However, if you can't make it tonight, I will be repeating the class at the Royal Family Kids Camp Crop on Saturday...come scrapbook and rubber stamp the day away with us!

Royal Family Camp Crop this Saturday!

 

How sweet is this page?  I love the use of the various alphabets in the title, I n ever think to do something like that!

I will have many different alphabet sets as well as chipboard pieces, the Big Shot, the new Circle Scissors, my ink pads and punches at t he Royal Family Camp Crop, Saturday January 31st in Saco!  Meet us at the United Baptist Church starting at noon, we're there til 9!  Your $35 registration is tax deductable as it all goes directly to the camp! 

FAQ -

What is a crop?

The scrapbookers definition of the word crop-

To Crop: 1. a. To cultivate boxes of photos so that they leave a lasting legacy for future generations. 1.b. to trim your photos to improve the composition. 2. a. A gathering of women to enjoy company of friends and work on their scrapbooks 2.b. a ploy to get out of the house and gather with friends 3. Spousal stress reliever (as in "Honey, I'm going to crop") this in turn relieves stress in the spouse knowing the loved one will be occupied for at least 5-6 hours (min). 4. sim. To stay away, back off. (as in "Kids, I'm going to crop") meaning stay away and ask Dad (or Mom) if you want anything.


As you can see from the scrapbookers definition of crop we use the word in several different ways! The two most common uses are cropping/trimming your photos or a scrapbook gathering.

What do I bring to a crop?  Well, bring your trimmer, scissors, adhesive, and cardstock, paper, etc for projects you want to work on. 

Will you be teaching during the crop?  Yes, for this event I will teach two mini classes that are an additional fee ($10 each).  One will be making cards, the other two 12 x 12 scrapbook pages.  50% of those monies will go to the camp as well. 

Also I am going to have a make and take for everyone who wants to do it during the day!

Can I pay at the door?  Yes! 

What if I don't know anyone who wants to go with me?  That is the great thing about this kind of event, you will meet people who share the same interest as you!

Can I purchase items that day?  Well, yes and no.  I will have some retired Stampin Up merchandise for sale, however I am prohibited from doing cash and carry sales of current product.  Don't worry, there will be plenty of scrap cardstock and paper if you need it, and if you do decide to place an order that day, an additional 10% will be donated to the camp as well!

It's Sunday, and today I'm off to Donna's house for her workshop.  I'm going to show the ladies how to make this cute treat box with the Big Shot and Pillow Box Die, and Love You Much Bundle.  How cute is this??? 

We'll be making something similar at the Big Shot Club Night on February 3rd.  You can join the Club for $57 per month for 4 months and then get the Big Shot Starter Kit at the end of 4 months, or you can take the class for $12 and each time we'll use different dies for various projects.
