My Digital Studio Updates

I have had SUCH an amazing summer, that my digital scrappin has taken a back seat to some fun events!!!  One was a reunion of sorts, we called it the Donoghue Clan Beach Day...

I have stared the album with photos sent on Facebook and a disc my  mom sent me, unfortunately I didn't take any pictures that day so others had to share.  What is great though is that for once I am IN THE PICTURES!  Ok, so not always great but my children will be able to see one day what I looked like in 2010!

Summer Scrapbook Page, Stampin Up

This layout I absolutely LOVE!  The pictures are from last summer, a trip I brought my family on thanks to my business!!!

 

One of my tips for summer scrapbook picture taking is to take photos of signs (thanks Jeanette, you know who you are!)...they make a great focal point on the page and if you don't get to scrap for a while, the sign picture can help with your journaling!

Summer Scrappin, Stampin Up!

Here is a page from our vacation...in 2009!  Oops, little behind..oh well!  The paper up the top is from the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Pack and I used that as the influence for the other colors~Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, and Baja Breeze.

Some picture taking tips~

• Don't be afraid to let your kids take the camera, or else I may NEVER be seen on a scrapbook page!
• Look for things that represent your trip, for example the flip flops and sand pail on the beach...love that pic!

And now for the other page...this is from yesterday's sneak peek!  The fish on this layout were made using the Ornament Punch and the 5 Petal Flower Punch, along with the 1/2 Inch Circle Punch...pretty self explanatory I think...just layer snip off tw of the petals and layer them on the ornament, punch out a circle for the eye and color in a pupil using a Stampin Write Marker.
