Quick and Easy Card!

Tuesday night was Crazy 4 Cards, a monthly card class at my home in Saco.  Here is the card we made, which I thought was kind of quick and easy!

Did you know that you can make 4 cards from one piece of 12 x 12 cardstock?  If you make 4 6x6" squares, then fold in half, this is the perfect sized card for Stampin Up's Small Open Ended Envelopes.  That's not even 15 cents per card!!!

I used scraps of Designer Series Paper to make the quilted background look - 4 1.5 inch squares, and because they are double sided, just turn over to get a different pattern!

The stamp set is from the Occasions Mini, You're A Gem.  Perfect size for the Small Oval Punch.  And I love the new Vanilla Rosettes, cute little easy accessory!!

What I Love About Being a Demonstrator!

A la David Letterman, here is my Top Ten Reasons for Being A Stampin Up Demonstrator

1. Stampin Up products!  The ink pads match the cardstock, designer series paper, ribbons, buttons, etc etc etc...it makes me look like I know what I'm doing!
2. An average workshop, just average mind you, can net me about $100
3. Being a part of the Ronald McDonald House Partnership, what I do helps families who need it!
4. Tax time means I can write off my cell phone, part of my light and heat bill, that's awesome!
5. My two best friends came about from my demonstratorship, one was my upline, one was my downline - neither are still working with the company but those relationshihps are REAL!
6. I can go away for a weekend to scrap and stamp and tell the girls "Mommy is going to work" - and I'm not lying!
7. Each few months there are NEW and EXCITING stamps, papers and accessories that keep it fresh for me AND my customers!
8. When I share the opportunity with others, there is no reason WHY they can't be more successful than I and truly I wish that for each and every one!
9. There is something for almost everyone who attends a workshop, whether they are a stamper, scrapper, or just friend of the hostess - which makes for a happy hostess with LOTS of free products at the end!

Demonstrator For All Occasions POSTPONED

I'm posting this here in case I have missed anyone - the Demonstrator Training Day that is scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until Saturday, January 15th at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Wells, ME.

Valentine Cards and, Gifts, Scrappin, too!

I have had SO MUCH FUN stamping and scrapping since Christmas, including designing this stamp camp for January 22nd!

Make a two page spread, treat boxes, and cards like the ones shown here, featuring the Love Impressions Rub Ons in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Each person will get a whole package of the fun images and take home whatever doesn't land on a project!

Cost to attend is $25, bring your own adhesive, please!

Goals for the New Year?

A very good friend of mine posted on Facebook last night that instead of making a resolution, that setting goals is a better way to go.  We ended up having a long discussion that I'll share later on, but I started thinking about my goals for the new year, and love that I'll have this blog to document it when it comes to an end!

Stamping and Scrapping Goals:

• Complete Disney Album
• Try a new technique each month
• Family Scrapbook Night each month
• Spend time each month making cards for events coming up so I'm not stressed to get them made and enjoy doing it more!
• Make better use of my scrap cardstock/paper
